Look for a golden chair
The original player report describes a gold-covered chair decorated with lights. You are looking for a special chair on the moving lift, rather than a separate gold-painted lift station.
AttackOnMars recommends the short lift behind the lodge for this task. Use its interaction prompt when the golden chair reaches you; the sources do not establish that every lift always contains one.

Remain seated for three return trips
Board the golden chair
Wait for the correct chair, then use the seat interaction. Check that you are aboard that chair before counting.
Count complete circuits
Stay on through the uphill and downhill parts until the chair returns to its starting part of the loop. Repeat until you have completed three full circuits.
Check the reward
Wait for the unlock notification and check the Ski Lift sled in your sled selection. Getting off midway does not satisfy the guides’ continuous-ride instruction.
A quiet hosted session can reduce interruptions from other players. The private lobby guide covers invite-only hosting; it is a lobby arrangement, not the same thing as offline mode.
