Get the rod and choose a hole
Buy and equip the rod
Go to the prop/tool shop on the right at the back of the lodge. Both guides record a 10,000-point fishing rod. Check the displayed price, buy it and select it from your tools.
Walk to an ice hole
The guides identify three holes near the igloo by the lodge. Stand at a fishing hole with the rod equipped; snow or ordinary solid ice is not the same starting point.
If you are saving for the rod, use the points guide to compare activities without relying on old farming totals.

Cast, watch the bite and reel
Cast into the hole
Hold the rod’s action to prepare the cast and release it. On the documented keyboard/mouse setup, the rod uses the mouse action.
Watch the float
Wait until the float is pulled underwater or the rod visibly tugs. Casting alone does not count as catching.
Reel at the bite
Click promptly when the bite appears. Confirm that a catch appears before starting the next cast.
Sell catches when ready
Return to the fishing stall to the left of the lodge entrance and use its selling interaction. Read the offered value in your current build.
rev’s guide describes the rod’s cast/reel sequence; FaeBee independently describes clicking when the bobber submerges. Follow your on-screen action if your input mapping differs.

Catches, achievements and changed values
A first fish, a shiny fish and a BIG fish have separate achievement entries. “Fisherman” asks for every fish type; a shiny or BIG modifier is not an additional species.
The 20-type list is from rev’s community guide. It is a checklist of recorded catches, not a current probability table.
| Recorded fish types | Recorded fish types |
|---|---|
| Bass · Catfish · Trout · Pike · Salmon | Goldfish · Lobster · Pufferfish · Eel · Pacific Halibut |
| Blob Fish · Sea Cucumber · Clownfish · Tuna · Aquatic Coral Snake | Swordfish · Great White Shark · Manta Ray · Weird Fish · Whale |
On a small screen, scroll the table sideways to see every column.
The September update changed fish data and prices. No catch order, spot or rod technique in these sources proves a guaranteed shiny/BIG fish or the highest current income.
