What the listings support
| Mode | Checked evidence |
|---|---|
| Online co-op / multiplayer | Listed by the official stores. |
| Local co-op / split screen | No matching capability or setup in the checked listings and update. A May community thread requests the feature rather than demonstrates it. |
| Single player / solo lobby | Steam lists single player; community players describe invite-only hosting. This does not place two players on one screen. |
On a small screen, scroll the table sideways to see every column.

Controllers do not establish a local multiplayer mode
Steam lists controller input support and Xbox lists input accessibility features. Those describe how a player controls the game. The checked sources do not provide a local-player join button, supported local account count or second-controller setup.
If split screen is essential to your purchase, wait for an explicit official capability and setup rather than relying on a general “co-op” label. The platform reference distinguishes stores and devices.

Use an online group on separate devices
A same-room group can use the advertised online mode with separate devices and the appropriate game access for each participant. Pick a verified matching storefront group, then follow the private lobby procedure.
The Xbox listing has cross-platform capability labels, while Steam-to-Xbox joining is not established by those labels. Confirm the exact store/device combination before purchasing extra copies.
